- Community service is a constant at WMS. The active Student Council has developed an ongoing relationship and exchange of visits with residents of the Woodmere Health Care Center.
- Interdisciplinary instructional units build a sense of belonging. These are comprised of a team of subject teachers who plan connecting lessons, getting to know every student personally and working with guidance counselors and support staff to see that every youngster's strengths are developed and needs are met.
