Guidance

The Woodmere Middle School Guidance Department is committed to helping students attain their full academic potential, foster responsibility and develop a strong sense of self-worth as they strive to identify and clarify personal values and goals. This is possible because of the supportive relationships with the students, parents, teachers and administrators of Woodmere Middle School. Each of the guidance counselors works with a cohort of students for the children’s three years in the Middle School. During this time, counselors and families get to know each other very well. Communication between home and school is a priority, and the guidance department facilitates this relationship in a variety of ways. Individual needs and strengths are addressed as the counselors become true advocates for their students, focusing not only on academics, but on social and emotional growth, as well.
