The mission of the Woodmere Middle School Library Media Center is to ensure that students are effective users and producers of ideas, information, and services. We provide students with the tools they need to become lifelong readers. We also strive to be a welcoming, comfortable place for students and staff to use for whatever needs they might have.
Nassau BOCES School Library System Scope & Sequence
SCHEDULE:
- Teachers sign their classes up for the library for book checkout, research projects, and computer work, so our schedule is different every day! We also have students drop in throughout the day for computer work, books, and a quiet spot to test or study.
- The library is open for extra help for additional assistance with the computers, to check out/return books, or to sign up for recess. Students may not study or do homework during extra help in the library.
- When there are no classes signed up during a recess period, we are open for recess too.
- Remember, the recess schedule changes each day due to our class schedule and our efforts to be open for each grade the same number of times each week.
- You must check the schedule on the library's Schoology page to see if we are open for your grade and sign up every morning.
We encourage you to come visit our warm and welcoming library! We have couches, chairs, stools, tables, and plenty of comfortable places to relax. We also have makerspace materials available to use during recess! PRINT RESOURCES:
